Open and Inviting

Staging a home for sale is different than decorating. Before the staging, this family room felt closed in by the big sectional sofa, the fireplace wall lacked any emphasis, and the television was the focal point. If you were a prospective buyer, would you be envisioning your kids sitting on the sofa playing video games night and day while the fireplace sat unused? Not a great selling point. By breaking up the sectional, rearranging the accessories and removing the television (removed after the photo was taken) the room now appears more spacious, there is better balance to the accessories and the fireplace wall is now the lovely architectural focal point. Can you now envision yourself entertaining friends by a crackling fire in this inviting and beautiful room?
