Remember the commercial where the woman sets a faucet before her architect and says “design a house around this”? Well, this client did the same thing with this great rug in an empty formal living room. Working off of the animal print led to rich greens, golden yellows and muted metallics, with lots of textures and botanical tropical tones. The tall window panels emphasize the height of the room and create balance with the sophisticated furniture and unique accessories. Definitely not formal or stuffy, this casually elegant, warm and inviting living room is simply beautiful.
