Kelly Brown has turned a lifetime of creative work into a business she loves.
After having seen the work of interior redesigners on television, she knew that
was the type of business she wanted to start. In the fall of 2003, Kelly completed
the Foundations of Redesign training classes. With that finished, she was certified
through IRIS (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists) as a trained, professional
Interior Redesigner. She then established her membership with IRIS, the premier
international association for redesigners. Four Seasons Redesign was incorporated
in January of 2004.
In addition to IRIS, Kelly is a member of the Midwest Redesign Association. Through
the MRA she is able to meet with other redesigners in the Chicagoland area and
collectively promote the field to the public. She has participated in several
MRA sponsored expos.

During an expo, Kelly Brown and other redesigners
had lunch with Lee Snijders, host of the HGTV show "Design on a Dime". |

Kelly Brown is always excited about ongoing learning and marketing experiences.
She has attended the IRIS national convention in 2004 (Ft. Lauderdale), 2005
(Seattle) and 2006 (San Antonio). She has promoted Four Seasons Redesign in expos
and trade shows as well.
Prior to her career in decorating, Kelly worked in the field of advertising.
Due to the ever changing client base of any agency, Kelly was able to establish
working relationships and friendships with a wide array of creative professionals
including graphic artists, copywriters, photographers, food and prop stylists,
printers, film separators, illustrators and talent agencies. Understanding and
learning about these fascinating fields was a definite highlight of life in an
ad agency. Some of the clients Kelly worked with included Publix Supermarkets,
the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, Snapper Lawn Equipment, Crown Cruise Lines,
GTE Airfone, Quaker Oats, Sassy Baby Products and the Elgin Symphony Orchestra.
Kelly's education includes a comprehensive art degree from Illinois State
University. In high school she painted the school's mascot in several archways
as well as one of the athletic conference school's logo on the gym wall.
It's still there today!
In addition to her business, Kelly is active in her church as the sanctuary decorator
and currently sits on two committees. She teaches an occasional art class in
the children's Sunday School program.
Kelly also enjoys teaching the parent led art lessons for her grade school age
daughters, as well as helping with their Girl Scout troop activities.

Kelly was blessed with all the artistic talents I wish I had. Whether
it is describing color or balancing the scale of a room, she just has a natural
gift for seeing and doing. She constantly amazes me with her creative and
intuitive ways of decorating and I'm proud to see her succeeding.

The challenge of creative cake decorating is a hobby for Kelly. Her cake clients
keep her on her toes with requests for horses, skateboards, chili peppers, bridges,
lava lamps, fish, planets, rockets, cars, bubbling bathtubs, swimming pools,
Barbie, Yu Gi Oh, My Little Pony, Snoopy, Madeline, Dragonballz and more. She
has also created beautiful graduation, baby shower, wedding shower, baptism,
confirmation, first communion, anniversary, and plain old pretty birthday cakes.
